Westlake Punnett & Associates Pty Ltd were engaged to provide the Structural Engineering design for the proposed residence overlooking the beach at Culburra. The project required an experienced approach for design of a split-level foundation supported on a weak sandy base using deep screw piers over 3 meters deep. The unique superstructure incorporated curved structural steelwork with complex connection detailing to facilitate impressive cantilevering and capture the striking outlook.
