Westlake Punnett & Associates Pty Ltd were engaged by Crown Lands and NSW Public Works for civil and structural engineering design of a board walk with retaining wall within Kiama Harbour. This concept was developed to replace the existing failing timber crib wall and to provide suitable access from the upper carpark down to the harbour foreshore.

The functional concept incorporates an eye-catching whale pattern on the harbour-facing retaining wall along with integrated lighting and inviting landscaping elements.

Through the construction phase, Westlake Punnett played a crucial role through inspections to ensure conformance to the design. This resulted in successful completion of the infrastructure, which now serves as a centrepiece for the heart of Kiama.
